Varsity Assistant Coach: Aaron Bronikowski
My name is Aaron Bronikowski and I am looking forward to working with all the teams this year and Assisting Varsity to a solid successful season. I am a native of Toledo, Ohio, but had lived in the Portland, Oregon area for the past 11 years until my relocation to Austin in July of 2019. While in Oregon I worked for the YMCA as a Youth Sports Director while finishing my undergraduate degree in English at Portland State University and then went on to Concordia University where I completed my master's degree in Teaching.
I have been coaching basketball at various levels and capacities for the past 16 years. Most recently, for the past four years, I was the co-founder and director of a travel basketball club (AAU) called Rose City Basketball which provided everything from high level travel teams for middle and high school players, to a youth basketball league for ages 5 - 7 based on USA Basketball's youth development model, to private training. In addition to my club role and responsibilities, I was also the Associate Head Coach at Aloha High School in Beaverton, Oregon.
This year at Austin High I will teaching 12th grade AP Lit & Comp and 12th grade College Prep ELA in addition to my roles as Varsity Assistant and freshman girls' volleyball.
